Welcome To Thalia Academy!

Kingdom Centered Education for 4th - 8th Graders

Thalia Academy is an online solution for parents of 4th through 8th grade students seeking Kingdom Centered Education. Thalia educators leverage their degrees, teacher certification, AND decades of experience in education to teach all  core curriculum areas plus our unique, one of a kind, Kingdom Life curriculum.  During Kingdom Life class we establish Kingdom foundations, nurture personal relationship with Holy Spirit & develop a prophetic lifestyle. Thalia Academy runs Monday – Thursday from August to May.

Here at Thalia Academy, we believe:

  • You came from and were created by a good, kind, loving, Heavenly Father who designed you with a unique Identity, Purpose and Destiny.
  • That King Jesus rescued you from sin, death and the grave when He died on the cross.
  • That Holy Spirit lives within you and will never leave you.
  • That as God's child you are the extension of His heart and authority on earth, which is the definition of The Kingdom.
  • That the purpose of education is to equip the sons and daughters of God with everything that they need to be a blessing and rule and reign in The Kingdom by serving the world well.

About Us

Our Mission
Partnering with parents to give their children an individualized educational experience while establishing The Kingdom foundations of identity, purpose, and destiny.
What sets Thalia Academy apart?
Have you ever noticed how the public school system keeps adding more and more days to the school year? Summer seems to get shorter and shorter.
One of the greatest upgrades that Beth Alexander has innovated, which makes Thalia Academy a superior choice for your child's educational experience, is her signature 130 Learning Day Format!
One of the greatest issues in the majority of public school options is wasted time. Wasted time is really wasted life. In the average public school system your child will spend 1,350 hours of their lives on campus spread out over 180 days.
Because of Thalia Academy’s intentional low student to teacher ratio, your child will spend only 720 hours over 130 days engaged in active learning. Despite spending less time in the classroom, because every hour spent in Thalia Academy is purposeful, your student will graduate each year with a broader exposure to (and retention of) all subjects than your average public school system student. Perhaps best of all your student will accomplish this while having more time to experience life and enjoy being a kid!

Invest in the foundation of your child's future

Parent testimonials
Thalia Academy has been a great blessing for our family. Our children haven’t just grown in their academics but they have grown so much in their kingdom identity.

When we say our kids attend a private online school, people tend to think they log in and do work without support or accountability. They’re surprised to learn that the teachers at Thalia are teaching live and interacting with the kids. They are encouraging and helpful when they get stuck on a subject. Our kids are also forming friendships with their peers and speaking life to each other.

I highly recommend Thalia Academy!

-Alex & Cynthia M.

We are seeking all things Kingdom as a family. We were excited to enroll our child in Thalia Academy to have him learn Kingdom at his level from an original Kingdom monster in the Education Mountain.
It's been amazing to see him thrive in his education, build amazing friendships with children outside our city and most of all grow in his identity and discover his unique gifts. I've seen healing from his past living a life closer to God, growing with Jesus and conversations with Holy Spirit. I don't have to redirect him all day because he enjoys learning. The intimate classroom setting with Beth's engaging lessons have made school something enjoyable for someone who struggled sitting through public school. We appreciate and truly value what Beth Alexander and her staff have done for our son, our home and the future of our legacy.

-Amador & Rosemary C.

What a gift Thalia Academy has been to our family and our daughter. With so many unknowns and pivots happening in our public school system over the last several years, this offers us the stability needed for a levelheaded, grounded education. The teachers create a learning environment where my daughter grows confident as a learner and leader. With her diagnosis of dyslexia, she is getting personalized guidance and encouragement to expand her writing and comprehension skills.
Beyond an excellent traditional education, Thalia Academy is creating a space for my daughter to explore how she can impact the world for good.

-April D.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Thalia Academy accredited?

Short answer...no.

Accreditation is not required or necessary for homeschool programs in any state of the Unites States.  Students who graduate from Thalia Academy will receive a diploma that is just as official as one a student would receive from a public, private or charter school.  We will also provide a transcript if needed for applying to a higher education program or vocational program.
It is a misconception that students have to have an accredited diploma.

Choosing not to be an accredited homeschool program allows:
-Thalia to be accessible to all states
-Freedom to create lessons that best benefit the individual student
- NO standardized testing required to meet state laws

What are the homeschool laws and requirements for my state?

The following website, Homeschool Legal Defense Association, has the laws and requirements broken down for each state. https://hslda.org/legal

Please note: It is your personal responsibility, as the parent, to research and meet the homeschool qualifications of your specific state. Thalia’s staff will do everything within their power to provide all documentation necessary as it pertains to their involvement in your child’s education, in a timely manner, so that you can meet all state requirements.

Will my student work be assigned a percentage grade?

There will not be percentage grades for student work, but work will be evaluated. The teacher(s) will check student work for mastery and understanding of the taught concept.

Evaluation Scale:

Mastery: The student shows superior aptitude for execution and communication of the concept. Mastery can be shown in many ways; written, verbal, project-based, etc.

Excellence: The student shows complete comprehension and implementation of the concept.

Proficient: The student shows a working knowledge or grasp of the concept with room for improvement.

How will parents have access to student portfolios?

Parents will have access to a Google Drive folder that will catalog their individual students’ work and attendance logs.

What happens if a student misses a lesson?

The teacher will be in contact with you if a lesson is missed. However,  it is the responsibility of the parent and student to revisit missed lessons and complete accompanying activities in a timely manner to receive attendance credit.
